Owners is an expressive family of fonts that takes inspiration from the dynamic energy of handmade signage as seen around Los Angeles. These signs were made in the International Style, but warmed up through the quirk and charm of vernacular signmakers’ unique approaches to letterform construction. As signs come in all shapes and sizes, the letters are often stretched to fill necessary spaces, thus Owners has a diverse range of weights and widths. The fonts are set tightly for maximum headline impact and logo-like presence, and there are also Text versions for use at small sizes.
Logic is a warmly technical monospace typeface in five weights of roman and italic styles, with a special connecting script version.

Redaction is a custom typeface commissioned for Titus Kaphar and Reginald Dwayne Betts’ The Redaction exhibition at MoMA PS1. As part of a timely conversation at the intersection of history, the legal system and social justice, the fonts will be free for personal use. Designed in collaboration with creative director Forest Young.

PLINC Trillium is a Photolettering restoration font that I worked on with Ken Barber at House Industries. Trillium is inspired by inscriptional stonecarving, lettering like on the famous Trajan Column. But with a healthy dosage of 1970s photostat technology just for fun. The original font was just black and white, but we've stripped it into left, right, and outline layers for multi-color applications. Just released as a full font, you can license Trillium for desktop, web, and app usage.
